Noon Moon Howls

We pencil shard silhouettes sitting silent as we're told,

Sit silent in corners and wonder at the distance between.

Never calculating square roots, length distant, proof writing,

Just soft, tender heart broken, eyes crying, saying:

We wish we were there and not here.

In the middle, where both our souls are found.
